On March 31, 2021, with the approval of the State Council, Sinochem Group Co., Ltd. (Sinochem Group) and China National Chemical Corporation Ltd. (ChemChina) undertook a joint restructuring. Sinochem Holdings Corporation Ltd. (Sinochem Holdings) was established on May 8, 2021, as the holding entity for Sinochem Group and ChemChina, wholly owned by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission on behalf of the State Council.
